What is hydrogen water?
In simple terms, hydrogen water (also called hydrogen-rich water) is ordinary drinking water infused with molecular hydrogen H₂ — much the way sparkling water is infused with carbon dioxide CO₂.

Every claim about benefits should rest on clinical research. The antioxidant activity of molecular hydrogen was first documented in 2007 by a team of Japanese scientists led by Professor Shigeo Ohta. The results were published in Nature Medicine. After that paper, researchers worldwide began studying the therapeutic properties of molecular hydrogen in earnest.
To date, researchers have published more than 2,000 studies on molecular hydrogen therapy — in scientific journals of Japan, Korea, China, the USA, Germany, Mexico, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine (Prof. O. S. Pokotylo).

What exactly is hydrogen water? Does water not already contain hydrogen?
In ordinary H₂O the hydrogen is tightly bound to oxygen. Hydrogen water also carries free molecular hydrogen H₂ — a fundamentally different state, and it is that form which is studied for its antioxidant effect.
How much hydrogen is in the water after it passes through the Living Aqua filter-ionizer?
On average, 1–2 minutes after filling, the molecular hydrogen concentration reaches 0.3–0.8 ppm (300–800 ppb). Under favorable conditions the level may reach 1.0 ppm or more.
How long does the Living Aqua filter-ionizer cartridge last?
The officially recommended service life of a single cartridge is 6–8 weeks, or up to 300–350 L (79–92 gal) of water, depending on how intensively it is used and on the quality of the source water.
What is the oxidation-reduction potential of water (ORP)?
ORP is the “charge” of water. For long, healthy longevity it should be negative. Every human cell has a negative ORP: from −50 to −150 mV.
Are there natural sources of hydrogen water?
Yes — hot springs in Japan, Korea and Mexico contain high concentrations of hydrogen. In nature its concentration is usually low.
